Anime Amigurumi

This rendition of L really tried my skills.

The feet were quite a task. The hair took forever. And it was a IMHO successful attempt at making the pants have a baggy look.

I did him from head to toe without a pattern...although I attempted to write my rounds as I did them, I was very UN-successful with that.

He has one thumb so that I would be able to pose him like this:

For those who don't know him - L is from an anime called "Death Note" - here is a great vector from a deviantArt.com artist.

The ninja army!

He's not quite perfect, but Im pretty happy about this little guy. He was a quick one too!

Next is Sasuke - imcomplete. I need to give him all of his accessories as well as a hair cut, but I really liked the long hair and was eager to share!

woot!

My safety eyes are on the way!

Not only that, but we were able to swing getting me a table for the November anime-con so I can sell my amigurumi. The price for the artist's table is $60 over the admission cost, and for 3 days...I think it will be a worthy investment!

Thrilled to have Brobee almost done, and from no pattern to boot!
He's armless and faceless...and stripeless, plus I have only 2 of his spikes done. I only started last night though, and will be certainly done tomorrow. Can't wait to show him off!!!

Official Ami Mommy :D

Absolutely loving Amigurumi. SO SO much more than all accessory and other wearables.
The first is a muno that I made for my son a few months back...he was faceless for a while but now he is about complete...with no teeth.

Next is Naruto! Which I am SO happy with even though he isn't complete yet...I'm not sure what to do about the hair that should be in the back of his head...and I have some more felt work to do too.

My first Kerchief!

At long last, my first photo entry! Many more to come, as well as another of this being worn...but it's time to cook some dinner.

I'd love to hear what you think of the design. I was debating a border of a blue that matches the specks in this yarn.

The Foundation

Like so many of my crochet projects, I felt this blog needed a bit of a foundation before I jump right in.

I'm a stay at home mom of a beautiful toddler boy, and a bit less than a year ago I picked up crocheting as a hobby. I've always considered myself crafty and took to it pretty quickly. Around the same time I noticed another mom, from a birth club I was in, had begun showcasing her own crochet projects. Like wildfire, all the other moms were making requests and she turned her hobby into a home business. You can check her work out here, Creations by Crystal

I was inspired, after all, who doesn't hope to make money doing something they enjoy and spend time on anyway?

After many skeins and hats with antennae and ears, here I am.

I hope you enjoy the pictures and ramblings to come!
